Inclusive Education

At Toolern Vale & District Primary School, we are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student is valued, supported and empowered to achieve success. Our inclusive practices are grounded in the belief that all students can learn and thrive when provided with safe, supportive and responsive learning environments that recognise and celebrate diversity. Through differentiated teaching practices, personalised learning approaches and strong partnerships with families and support services, we work to ensure all students can access and participate fully in school life.

Our approach to inclusion is supported by a collaborative team model involving classroom teachers, education support staff, the Student Wellbeing Team, Student Support Services, and our Koorie Engagement Support Officer. Through the Victorian Government’s Disability Inclusion reforms, we work closely with students and families to develop targeted adjustments and individualised supports that respond to each student’s strengths, needs and goals. By promoting a culture of belonging, respect and high expectations, we strive to create a school community where every student feels connected, included and supported to reach their full potential.
