We recognise the valuable role student leaders play in building a supportive, respectful and connected school environment. Our Student Leadership Program offers students authentic opportunities to strengthen their leadership capabilities, take on responsibility and make meaningful contributions to school life. Through these roles, students help promote our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, encourage positive participation across the school, and ensure student perspectives are represented in school decision-making. Student leaders may also represent the school at special events, ceremonies and community activities throughout the year, while working collaboratively with staff and peers to enhance student wellbeing and engagement.
The Student Leader application and selection process is designed to encourage students to demonstrate their leadership potential and commitment to the school community. Students wishing to apply for leadership roles are asked to complete a written application that highlights their personal strengths, leadership attributes and the positive contribution they hope to make within the role. Depending on the position, shortlisted applicants may also take part in interviews, speeches, presentations or student voting processes. These experiences help students further develop valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, organisation, reflection and public speaking, while ensuring leadership positions are carefully considered and respected across the school community.
