Mathematics

Our Mathematics program develops students’ understanding, fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills through explicit teaching and a structured approach to learning. Delivery of our Mathematics program is grounded in evidence-based teaching practices that support deep understanding, confidence and student growth. 

Teachers provide clear learning intentions, explicit instruction, modelling, retrieval practice, worked examples and scaffolded opportunities for students to apply and transfer their mathematical thinking. Learning experiences encourage students to explain their thinking, apply efficient strategies and make meaningful connections between mathematics and real-world contexts. Through deliberate practice, feedback and differentiated support, students are empowered to develop confidence, resilience and independence as capable mathematical learners.
